Contributor Dr. Wendy Chung is the Kennedy Family Professor of Pediatrics in Medicine at Columbia University School of Medicine in New York, NY. Her research relates to the genetic basis of a variety of human diseases including congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, and rare disorders. She is the director of the Clinical Cancer Genetics program, DISCOVER, and the fellowship program in Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics, and she supervises medical education in human genetics for Columbia University Medical School.
Contributor Dr. Mohammad Dalabih is a pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Specialist in Denver, CO and has over 14 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from University of Jordan / Faculty of Medicine in 2008, and is a member of the pulmonary hypertension team at National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital. His areas of expertise include pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary exercise physiology, and pulmonary embolism. He also is interested in medical education.
Contributor Dr. Jean Elwing, MD is a Pulmonologist in Cincinnati, OH and has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Elwing has extensive experience in Obstructive Lung Disease, Pulmonary Vascular Conditions, and Sleep Apnea. She graduated from SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY / HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER in 1997. She is affiliated with medical facilities UC Health West Chester Hospital and University Of Cincinnati Medical Center. Her office accepts new patients and telehealth appointments.
Contributor Dr. Patricia George is the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and Associate Professor at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO, and Co-founder of Team PHenomenal Hope. She works as a pulmonary and critical care specialist at National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital. Her areas of expertise include pulmonary hypertension as well as the impact of metabolic health on breathing. As an athlete and ultra cyclist she is also passionate about racing to make a difference with Team PHenomenal Hope.
Contributor Dr. Khushboo Goel is a pulmonary hypertension specialist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is a member of their Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program. She completed her pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Colorado/National Jewish Health. Her research focuses on identifying novel mechanisms of pulmonary vascular remodeling in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Contributor Dr. Christopher S. King is a transplant pulmonologist and medical director of the Transplant and Advanced Lung Disease Critical Care at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. He also serves as and Co-Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Program.
Contributor Dr. Vera Pillitteri is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Cardiology at National Jewish Health. Dr. Pillitteri has over 15 years experience in cardiology and has worked with the pulmonary hypertension team in the clinical setting since 2019, and in PH research since 2020.
Contributor Abby Poms is a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Certified Clinical Research Professional with more than 30 years of experience working in the field of pulmonary hypertension. She served as manager of the Duke University Pulmonary Vascular Disease Center, overseeing the pulmonary hypertension research programs and clinical care of patients. Over the course of her career she has mentored many clinicians in the pulmonary hypertension field and developed programs for patient education, advocacy and physician awareness.
Contributor Dr. Natasha Pradhan is a pulmonary and critical care specialist and works at Tufts Medical Center, where she also serves as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Her professional interests include simulation medicine with a focus on team-based simulations and cardiac MRI in pulmonary hypertension. In her free time, Dr. Pradhan enjoys reading, hiking, exploring new neighborhoods on her bike and traveling.
Contributor Elise Whalen is a pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Texas Children’s Hospital’s Pulmonary Hypertension program.
